The Hawaii Real Estate Investors, hereinafter referred to as HiREI. Members of HiREI treat this organization with the utmost professionalism. The HiREI member is civic-minded and operates according to the highest ethical standards. The HiREI member should recognize that the interests of the community require the highest and best use of the land and its buildings. The HiREI member recognizes the need for adequate housing and the preservation of a healthful environment. The members of HiREI share a common responsibility to maintain and improve housing. The letters HIREI will be synonymous with competency, fairness, integrity, and honor.

In consideration of acceptance of this Membership Application by the Board of Directors, every HiREI member pledges to conduct their business in accordance with the articles set below:
  1. Whenever a HiREI member provides occupant-ready housing, it shall always be safe and sanitary.
  2. The HiREI member shall keep themselves informed on local, state, and federal laws affecting their business, their community and matters affecting housing
  3. The HiREI member will not discriminate against any person for reasons of race, age, religion, creed, sex, country of national origin, children, marital status, disability or any other aspect prohibited by law.
  4. The HiREI member will recognize that property residents and buyers are our customers and we are in a service industry and a “people” industry.
  5. The HiREI member has an obligation to help other members whenever possible.
  6. The surest way to get what you want is to help other people get what they want.
  7. The HiREI member will not engage in any illegal practices and will always conduct themselves in a professional manner.
