TOUR DAILY SCHEDULE

Day One

Arrive into Las Vegas (LAS) or Indianapolis (IND). We will pick you up at the airport so be sure we have your flight information. Once we pick you up we will bring you directly to the hotel, keep in mind that hotel rooms may not be available until the afternoon so plan accordingly.

We will hold a meet and greet at 6:30p where you will have the chance to be introduced to and hang out with our power team in an informal setting. Please come hungry as we will be providing drinks and plenty of food.

Day Two and Three

The first half of the day will include training and presentations to include our power team members and the opportunity to ask them questions about their services. In the afternoon we will begin viewing and analyzing properties. You will be provided a three ring binder that will have a fact sheet of every property we are going to examine that day.

The day will end back in the with property evaluations, networking and wrap up of each day’s events.

Day Four

This is a review, relook and re-evaluate day with any power team members, properties or anything else you would like to take another look at. We will meet in the lobby at 9:00a to discuss and plan the day based on your list of people and/or properties you want to revisit. We will schedule meetings with the agents, wholesalers and anyone else we need too in order to get you into the properties and/or a sit down with them to write up offers.

Day Five (Departure Day)

We will ensure you have transportation to the airport for your flight.

Helpful Tips

It is a good idea to bring comfortable shoes, jeans, a camera/recorder and a flashlight to help you walk through safely and keep track of all the properties you will see. You will view many properties and a good system of tracking is important or they will all just become one big blur by the end of the tour.

The Hawaii Professional Housing Provider’s Program

What is the HiPHP designation?
The HiPHP designation is a statewide, education-based certification program designed to recognize the high level of knowledge and professionalism among the designation holder. It is sponsored and overseen by the Hawaii Real Estate Investors (HiREI).

Why obtain the HiPHP designation?
Only persons completing the educational requirements will be permitted to hold themselves out to the public as a Hawaii Professional Housing Provider. The designee will be recognized in the form of an award certificate and the right to use the designation, and should recognize that having a basic education in the topics outlined will increase his or her ability to reach their goals in real estate investing. Further, as HiREI works to make the HiPHP designation more recognizable, it is hoped that the HiPHP holders will have an advantage in dealing with legal and governmental bodies when a “my word against his” situation occurs. It will also aid in encouraging legislators to think of educated investors as a larger group for political action.  Other tangible benefits, including discounts on courses and educational materials, may be added as the program develops.

How will I obtain these hours?
The hours may be obtained through HiREI meetings and seminars, or through accredited courses taught outside of the local association.  All outside courses and seminars must meet the following requirements: they must be taught live; they must be pre-approved by the HiPHP committee, and they must provide a certificate of attendance acceptable to the HiPHP Committee.

Continuing education to maintain HiPHP designation
Once the HiPHP designation has been obtained, designees must complete 20 hours of continuing education every two years in order to maintain the designation. These hours are elective and may be used by the designee to continue his or her education as he sees fit.

Goals of HiREI
The Hawaii Real Estate Investor’s are dedicated to making this program a success. It is understood by the committee that the program will evolve as time goes on, and that time will pass before our members, and the public at large will recognize the value of this education. HiREI believes the concept of creating educated investors is important in the fight to make our industry a respected one. We also believe that the ability to present our members as dedicated, educated professionals will aid in any political action to which we are committed. While this education is already the mission of HiREI, we hope that a statewide/nationwide designation will further this goal by making legislators, regulators, and the public at large recognize that we are not simply “landlords” but informed business persons who make an ongoing contribution to our communities.
